⸻
This experience takes place in an Arctic environment
and includes time on the water.
More important than physical strength is steadiness, awareness and the ability to listen to your body.
Respecting personal limits is part of respecting the environment.
“These expeditions may not be the best choice for individuals with heart conditions or other significant health limitations.”
Pregnancy & Participation
For safety and responsibility, participation during pregnancy follows clear guidelines.
Pregnancy up to 12 weeks (first trimester)
Participation is not possible during the first trimester.
This decision is made out of care — for the pregnant person, and for the unborn child.
Arctic conditions, boat movements and
environmental unpredictability
require a high level of physical stability.
Pregnancy from 13 weeks onwards
From the second trimester onwards,
participation may be possible only with:
• written medical confirmation
• clear approval from a healthcare professional
• personal assessment of comfort and resilience
Even with confirmation,
daily participation always remains optional. Listening to your body
takes priority over any planned activity.
Our Responsibility
We do not make these guidelines lightly.
They are part of our commitment to safety, care and long-term wellbeing — rather than short-term participation.
Saying “no” when needed is also a form of respect.
A Gentle Reminder
Vilt Hjerte Winterwhales Camp is not about pushing limits.
It is about moving with awareness — for yourself, for others,
and for the environment we enter.
If you are uncertain,
we encourage open conversation before booking.
We are always happy to advise honestly.
